Abbreviations
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
FPdc = front post double crochet
BPdc = back post double crochet
Sp = space
Special Stitches
BPDC – back post double crochet
Step 1: yarn over on hook.
Step 2: Insert hook into hole next to the post of the next stitch, on the “hook side” from back to front
Step 3: Bring the hook back to the back of the fabric around the post, to the hole farther from the hook.
Step 4: yarn over and draw through a loop, bringing it through both sides of the fabric. (3 loops on hook)
Step 5: yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook. (2 loops remaining on hook)
Step 6: yarn over and draw through remaining 2 loops on hook.
FPDC – front post double crochet
Insert your hook into the front of your work, behind the indicated stitch, and then through your work such that your hook is now at the front of your work again. Pull through final 2 loops on your hook.

INSTRUCTIONS
Working With A
Ch 4, slip stitch to for a ring
Round 1: Chain 4, * dc, chain 1, * repeat around 11 more times. (12 dc, 12 ch 1 spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join B with a Slip Stitch into 1st Chain 1 space
Round 2: Chain 3 (counts as 1 dc),
work 2 dc into same space, chain 1,
* work 3 dc into next chain 1 space, chain 1, * repeat from * to * 10 more times;
slip stitch into the 3rd chain of the chain 3. (12 ch 1 spaces, 36 dc)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join C with a sc into any center dc of a 3 dc group
Round 3: Chain 2, work * FPdc around next RND 1 dc,
chain 2, work sc into the center dc of next 3dc group, *
repeat from * 11 more times, chain 2;
join with a slip stitch into 1st sc. (12 sc, 24 ch 2 sp, 12 FPdc)

Join A with a sc into any sc of previous round
Round 4: Chain 5,
work * sc into next sc, repeat from * 10 times,
chain 5; join with a slip stitch into 1st sc. (12 sc & 12 ch 5 sp)

Round 5: Slip Stitch into chain 5 space,
chain 3 (counts as dc), work 4 dc into same chain 5 space,
* chain 1, work 5 dc into next chain 5 space,
repeat from * 10 more times, chain 1;
join with slip stitch into 3rd chain of 3 dc. (12 ch 1 sp & 60 dc)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Squaring
Join B into any chain 1 space
NOTE – For this Round work into Back Loop Only
Round 6: Chain 3 (counts as dc),
work (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] into same chain 1 space,
work hdc into each of next 5 DC,
work 2 sc into next chain 1 space,
work sc into each of next 5 dc,
work 2 sc into next chain 1 space,
work hdc into next of next 5 chains.
* work (3 dc; chain 2, 3 dc) into next chain 1 space,
work hdc into each of next 5 dc, work 2 sc into next chain 1 space,
work sc into each of next 5 dc, work 2 sc into next chain 1 space,
work hdc into next of 5 dc,
repeat from * 2 more times; join with a slip stitch into 3rd chain of chain 3.

Join C in any Chain 2 corner space
Round 7: Chain 3 (counts as dc),
work (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) into same corner space,
BPdc around each of the next 25 stitches until next corner,
* work corner into next corner, BPdc around each of the next 25 stitches until next corner,
repeat from * 2 more times. (25 BPdc on each side = 100 BPdc & 4 ch 2 sp)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join A in any Chain 2 corner space
Round 8: Chain 1 (doesn’t count),
* work 3 dc in the corner chain 2 space,
BPdc around each BPdc and dc, *
repeat from * around;
join with a slip stitch in in top of 1st dc. (29 BPdc, 12 dc)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
